Tig Welder Water Coolers For High Amperage Welding

During TIG welding processes heat builds in the TIG torch. A TIG welder water cooler is used to remove this heat. TIG water coolers are a self contained unit that re made of an electric motor, a pump, a fan, a radiator and a holding tank or reservoir. TIG Water Cooler Operation Contrary to what you may think, the pump sucks water from the torch thus creating a low pressure zone in the TIG torch water return line.  Atmospheric pressure forces water from the reservoir to rush toward the low pressure zone in order to establish equilibrium. As the […]

New Tig Torch Category

We have updated our Tig torch category list with SR9 WP17 WP17V WP18 WP26 Tig welding torches. Tig torch types SR9, WP17 and WP17V use the small Dinse plugs 10-25mm. The WP18 and WP26 torches use the 35-70mm plugs. The WP17V is a gas valve tig torch and the WP18 is a water cooled tig torch

Water Cooled Tig Torch

what are the advantages of a water cooled tig welder or an air cooled one, and why i.e. hand positions, etc? I see many welding videos online where the welder is grasping the cup. I currently use an air cooled torch on a Miller Dynasty 200DX for 90-150 amps and the cup gets hot! Does a water cooled torch stay that much cooler? It depends on what you are welding. Most “air cooled” torches get hot cable and all. “Water cooled” torches pretty much stay cool. The cup can get […]
