Mig welding machines are available from Tokentools. We are both a physical store and an online store. Our shopfront is located at Wyong NSW which is on the Central Coast in Australia. Our online store is available 24 x 7 and caters Australia wide.
Our Mig welding machines are available in both inverter technology or original transformer wond technologies. There are advantages and dissadvantages to both of these types of welding machine types. For Inverter Mig Welding Machines it is favourable to add extra features like Tig welding, stick and Mig welding functions. This enables the welding machine to perform either CV Constant Voltage or CC Constant Current operation. CV is used for Mig Welding and CC is used for stick and tig welding. Advantages include their light weight due to the low magnetic flux of the inverter driven step down transformer. They are also not prone to high inrush currents. Dissadvantages involve careful selection of 240V extension leads to avoid voltage drop and their ultimate life span although not quantified to this point will be less than their transformer style cousins.
The Transformer Mig Weding Machines are big and bulky and suffer high inrush currents during arc innitiation. Their features are limited as their is generally no way of controlling current other that the internal resistance of the loaded up transformer. They are heavy and duty cycles are much lower than inverter machines. On the up side they have a far longer life span. If we take away the moving parts common to bothe types of Mig Welding Equipment we will be left with a transformer and everybody knows a lump of iron and a lump of copper aren’t going to do much for 100 years.
So if you are in the market for a new Mig Welding Machine be sure to look at our Inverter Mig Welder metalmaster 210D Digital Mig Welding machine or the MIG200 Inverter Multifunction Mig Welding Machine or else the Transformer Mig Welding Machine 315 Amp Mig Welder
